Job Description
Reporting to Materials Head
Working with Stores and Purchase Team
6 days working
Mechanical background – MUST!
Job work specialist
Understand drawing and job requirements (precision components)
Find & Identify correct vendor, explain the job/drawing and get it made – on time and to required quality
Workout process & cost for job work (with Materials Head)
Daily follow-up and correspondence with vendors – timely delivery tracker
Technical support to vendor to solve problems / queries
Internal paperwork and bill clearance
60% on field and 40% in office
Maintain min-max (no stock out) – repeat stock orders (with Stores)
New development projects (with Materials Head)
Vendor performance evaluation – Quarterly (with Materials Head)
Technical purchase person handling job work can play this role
Most machine manufacturers have such persons (Project Manager) who are in-charge of getting all components mode outside on Job Work Basis, to the required quality and bring it to the company for assembly.
